“O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.” (Psalm 8:1)
Louie Giglio gives a presentation called Indescribable, which highlights the expanse of the known universe and its unfathomable beauty. The images in the slideshow appear as though the LORD painted His awesome glory across the sky’s magnificent canvas. Formations, colors, and nuances displayed across the great expanse of the universe are spectacular portraits of a world unknown to mere mortal men. God’s created universe truly is incredible.
The Creation Museum in Hebron, KY has a wonderful planetarium which takes you on an unforgettable tour of God’s handiwork in outer space. As you watch the incredible images presented across the large domed screen, one can’t help but contemplate the following words penned by King David thousands of years earlier. “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?” (Psalm 8:3-4)
We have an amazing God who’s not only mindful of us, but He knows us personally, right down to number of hairs on our head (Luke 12:7). Our LORD knows everything there is to know about us, and yet still He loves us. Now that’s incredible!
The next time you have an opportunity to peer into the nighttime sky, look up and praise God for who He is and what He has created. Praise His name and thank Him for His great love.
