My car was a muddy mess! After the ice storm a couple weeks ago, I got my car stuck. Mud spewed from hood to rear as I pressed on the gas pedal trying to break free. I’m thankful my brother pulled me out two days later. My co-worker needed me to pick her up for work, and I knew she’d be amused by the car. As she opened the door, she smiled and said, “Wow, where have you been?” I told her I just wanted her to have a ride she’d never forget. Sometimes it takes something big or seemingly crazy to create a lasting memory.

I will never forget June 8, the day that God changed the mind of an addict and set me free. I can truly say that I have faith to move mountains due to the fact that I met the Mountain Mover that day!!! My thoughts and actions had been consumed by addiction for over two decades. It was a 24/7 job. What I thought would give me a fulfilling life would eventually lead to death. Thank you, Almighty God, for Your grace and mercy!

Scripture tells of a memorable event in Esther. In short, an evil man named Haman cunningly devised a plan to wipe out the Jews. Mordecai, Esther’s uncle, urged her to go before her husband, King Ahasuerus, and ask for deliverance from the annihilation to come. God delivered all of the Jews. Haman was hung on the gallows that he had built to hang Mordecai. This day of salvation was and is still celebrated as Purim. During Purim, Jews do all things in remembrance of the Lord’s deliverance. His might and power are in the annals of history to be forever remembered.

Does it seem your mountain is too big to move? It might be too big for you, but it’s not too big for God. God knows your heart better than you do. He knows when you’re ready to say, “I surrender all”. Place your faith in God and allow Him to be your deliverer. The song “Chain Breaker” by Zach Williams is a great way to end this devotion.

“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your wonders of old” (Psalm 77:11 NKJV).

“Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth” (1 Chronicles 16:12 NKJV).

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20 NKJV).
