Sometimes we can be in the middle of a situation and suddenly know in our gut that something is very wrong. That’s the Holy Spirit’s conviction, and we would be wise to heed and obey these warnings.

As Christians, we are called to a higher standard of conduct than the rest of the world. For that reason we sometimes need to take a tough stand. When the time comes, and it will come, we need to stand firm on God’s truths and trust His higher ways. He will be with us every step of the way.

“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.’” (2 Chronicles 20:17)

As I continue to grow in my faith and persevere in this ministry, I must trust and rely on God more and more. Situations surface that I do not understand, and sometimes I cannot see a peaceful resolution to the matter.  During these times, I must continue to move in the direction God is calling me, no matter how difficult.  The more we step out in faith to serve God the harder Satan will work to bring us down.

Ephesians chapter six tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood. Our battle is against the evil forces in the heavenly realm.

Soldiers fighting on the front lines are in greater danger of being injured in battle. In the same way, those who are working on front lines of ministry are at greater risk of being hurt. The Lord tells us to stand firm and put on His full armor. He is with us, and sends His angel warriors to fight for us.

“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Trust your gut and stand firm on God’s truths, no matter the cost.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
