Broken is beautiful. I’ll be the first one to tell you my struggles, my humanness. I boast in my weaknesses, because where I’m weak, our God is strong.
I’ve always said that about my eating disorder and my struggle with weight and food. It has kept me connected with Jesus and brought me so many friendships.
Maybe you are feeling low or broken and wonder when you’ll come out of it. Maybe it doesn’t feel hopeful right now. That’s okay too. I’ve often wondered, how long? How long will I struggle?
Regardless of your worry or battle, a few things are always true: God doesn’t waste anything. He’s not in a hurry. He redeems all things. He is in the restoration business.
You can count on that! Sit with him today. Spend some time letting him love you. All he wants is to have you soak in his love. In his presence there is fullness of joy.
Close your eyes and think about him wrapping himself around you like a warm soft blanket. It’s that simple.
Never forget that you have a purpose. And always remember that you are loved.
“Through God’s Grace He Will Restore. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish “ (1 Peter 5:10).
“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
“Certainly the faithful love of the Lord hasn’t ended; certainly God’s compassion isn’t through! They are renewed every morning. Great is your faithfulness” (Lamentation 3:22-23).
