Do you long to hear these words?
- I see you.
- I see your hustle and your longing.
- I see you busting it.
- You are nailing the mom thing, the wife thing, the friend thing, the sister thing, and the daughter thing.
- I’m proud of you.
- Yes, you are not perfect, but you keep trying and aren’t giving up. My grace is sufficient for you.
- You are abiding. You are getting your sourcing from me. I’m present with you and pleased with you.
- You don’t have to be distraught. It’s okay to be encouraged and full and filled with hope, joy, and peace in my presence.
- Don’t feel bad for feeling good. I, your Dad, Creator, Father, love you deeply.
Do you ever feel ashamed to be okay, to be able to let things roll off your shoulders, to not be carrying everybody’s stuff?
I’ve not always been this way. It’s taken time and trust, trust that the Lord has me right where He wants me. That He made me with purpose and on purpose. That He cares deeply for me and loves me. That He really is in control and I can rest in Him. He has been healing me from the inside out, and more often than not I feel His pleasure over me. God wants to increase your capacity to feel His love. He did this for David and He can do it for you and me.
This what David said in Psalms to the Lord:
Lord, I passionately love you and I’m bonded to you, for now you’ve become my power! You’re as real to me as bedrock beneath my feet, like a castle on a cliff, my forever firm fortress, my mountain of hiding, my pathway of escape, my tower of rescue where none can reach me. My secret strength and shield around me, you are salvation’s ray of brightness shining on the hillside, always the champion of my cause. All I need to do is to call to you, singing to you, the praiseworthy God. When I do, I’m safe and sound in you (Psalm 18:1-3 TPT).
You may not feel this way today or even tomorrow. This may be a hard season for you. But I share this with you to give you some hope that there is a fullness of life. If you aren’t there right now, keep breathing, taking one moment at a time, and asking the Lord to bring you to this place, into His power. If you are there right now, in a spacious place, encourage someone else and be a beacon of light for them.
