Part of the branding for Living in Truth Ministries (LITM) is flowers—all shapes, colors, and varieties.
Why?
Flowers are a lot like women—beautiful and diverse.
I’m not much of a gardener; however, I do know at least a few basics when it comes to growing flowers, factors that are essential for cultivating healthy plants.
The first thing that a plant needs is healthy soil. Flowers thrive in nutrient rich soil that is void of rocks and weeds, and properly tilled, allowing the best possible opportunity for growth.
Interestingly enough, we can apply similar fundamentals towards the spiritual growth and healing of women.
We, too, need a safe and healthy environment in which we can lay down roots and eventually thrive. Living in Truth Ministries provides just such a place through our support and healing groups.
Our programs for women provide love, support, acceptance, and understanding. We meet people right where they are, without judgement, expectations, or pressure.
Our desire is to come alongside each person and point them to the one true LIGHT—Jesus.
Through these groups, women receive a daily dose of life-giving truths (factors essential to healing), truths that renew the mind (Romans 12:2) and set the captives free (John 8:32)
Many come from places of bondage, heartache, rejection, and pain. Never before have they been surrounded by such love and acceptance. And because LITM provides a healing rich environment, individuals develop deep roots, roots that perpetuate growth and faith in Jesus.
The final ingredient essential for women seeking healing and growth in their journey is time. Just as flowers bloom and grow at different rates, each woman’s journey towards freedom is unique. Everyone heals and grows at different a pace. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: …a time to plant… and a time to heal,” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-3)
The amazing thing is that God knows exactly what each person needs on our journey. The Lord is patient, kind, loving and encouraging. He never leaves or forsakes us. He is always by our side, encouraging us to take that next step. Day by day He continues to nurture our growth, spurring us on to victory and freedom, giving us just what we need, when we need it.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
I pray that God plants you in just the right place where you, too, can bloom and grow!
