“We can all see God in the exceptional things, but it requires the culture of spiritual discipline to see God in every detail.” ~Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest

Every time I talk with a friend of mine, she shares the many ways God is working in her life. It seems that she is able to see God working in the smallest of ways—ways that most of us wouldn’t even recognize as God’s hand.

One of the reasons my friend perceives God’s hand in every detail of her life is because she is always looking for Him.  Not only is she looking for Him, but she’s expecting Him! And God never disappoints.

Perhaps many of us don’t see God in the little details of our lives, because we don’t expect Him to care about such things.  We mistakenly believe that God only acts on the “big” things.

God loves to reveal Himself to His children in both big ways and small ways.  We just need to be more perceptive of His presence and power.

“Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done….” (Psalm 105:1-5)

The more we acknowledge God’s powerful presence in our lives, the more we will experience God’s powerful presence in our lives.

“Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” (Jeremiah 32:17)
