“The Lord never called any of us to be successful – only to be faithful.  My obligation is to do the right thing. The rest is in God’s hands.” ~God’s Little Devotion Book for Leaders

Many times, this little quote has kept me “in check.”  It is so true… we are only called to be faithful and obedient.  If we have sincerely carried out the task to the best of our ability, then we needn’t fret about the outcome. God will take our offering and use it for His glory and purpose.

“The snare in Christian work is to rejoice in successful service, to rejoice in the fact that God has used you. You never can measure what God will do through you if you are rightly related to Jesus Christ. Keep your relationship right with Him, then whatever circumstances you are in, and whoever you meet day by day, He is pouring rivers of living water through you, and it is of His mercy that He does not let you know it.” ~Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest

We may never know how our obedience to the Lord’s command is being used in the Kingdom of God; and we may never see the fruit it bears; but this I know; God doesn’t waste any of itHe uses it all.

“The great thing to remember is that we go up to Jerusalem to fulfill God’s purpose, not our own.” ~ Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest

“Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.” (1 Timothy 4:15)

“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.  You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”  (Hebrews 10:35-36)

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.  For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.’”  (Matthew 16:24-25)

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”  (2 Corinthians 4:18)
